Breaking the ice

"Breaking the ice" is an idiom about when a person wants to begin a conversation  during an uncomfortable situation that will make everyone relaxed. Someone says an "icebreaker" to make everyone comfortable.

An example could be a class of students with a new teacher and the teacher "breaks the ice" with a joke or activity.

So lets begin. Lets break the ice of any expectations we may have about yoga or learning a foreign language.
